Fashion is the definition of The Grass is Greener.... Givenchy Resort 2013 is so fresh that it makes the present summer 2012 filled with glaring neon seem tired.
What hangs best from tanned, toned arms, well a designer bag in neutral of course.
From tanned, toned legs...neutral heels of course.... There is nothing more chic than neutral accessories? At least I don't think so.
Some of my favorites of the season...
How lucky am I to have Sarah, Style Sleuth Extraordinaire + dear friend give me a tour of all her favorite haunts in the East Bay + SF. Her discerning list included Erica Tanov, The Gardener, The Voyager, MAC, Tail of the Yak and if there was time pop into the De Young to view the Gaultier Exhibit.
Next MAC, short for Modern Appealing Clothing, one of Sarah's favorite. And for very good reason. When we arrive she is greeted like the Rock Star she is, by MAC owners, brother + sister, Ben + Chris Ostipal.
Many quarters, energy + an insatiable love of design + discovery is needed for a day sleuthing with Sarah. Sadly we did not make the Gaultier Exhibit...another time.
Jon Carin, a dear friend touring with Roger Waters in the WALL, came up for a quick visit to the Napa Valley a day before the concert in San Francisco. Accompanied by the drummer Graham they visited a winery or two, we opened some awesome wine and caught up. Jon somehow got us last minute tickets to the very sold out concert. Beyond touched I arrived at the concert with a Hudson Bay BFF Bag for his new love Brie. Little did I know what a lovely pair the two would become.
Literally days later breathtaking shots of Brie with her bag...started appearing on Jon's FB page...
He would post pictures of the endlessly photogenic Brie in different cities on the tour with her BFF Bag. To my delight it truly was the gift that keeps on giving...part Where is Waldo, part the Sisterhood of the Traveling Jeans.
As the journey unfolds I have become the beneficiary of the most awesome gift...
Living vicariously...through the images as they appear one day at a time.
