 Everything you ever wanted to know about Stripes. I LOVE Stripes. How can one not be delighted by such beauty and simplicity. But apparently stripes have a history more devil than angel... To stripe a surface serves to distinguish it, to point it out. Through history the stripe has always made a bold statement. From prisoners' uniforms to tailored suits, to street signs. During the Middle Ages stripes were associated with the devil. Than they became symbols of freedom and unity during the American and French revolutions? "In the stripe," writes author Michel Pastoureau, "there is something that resists enclosure within systems." That no doubt is why I love them. Prada Ad Campaign for Spring/Summer....
